Yogurt and Chocolate Chip Cake

Place the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is pale and fluffy.

With the mixer running, add the Greek yogurt one spoonful at a time and mix until fully incorporated.

Continue mixing while slowly pouring in the milk, followed by the oil.

Add the flour, baking powder, and lemon zest. Mix until the batter is smooth and evenly combined.

Add the chocolate chips and fold them in with a spatula.

Pour the batter into a greased and floured 26 cm round cake pan.

Bake in a preheated conventional oven at 180°C / 360°F for approximately 1 hour. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with only a few moist crumbs.

Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
